Sankt Wendel (Ger) - Last weekend, the European Championships Cross Country took place in Sankt Wendel, Germany. Be One Team had four riders battling for the podium. One of the favourites for the title in the under 23 men was Thijs Al, who already finished within top 30 several times at the World Cups. His best result was a 15th place in the Sarentino World Cup. In Sankt Wendel he went home with the silver medal. Davy Coenen also finished 7th in the espoir race. Erwin Bakker finished 27th, Corine Dorland finished 13th in the Women's race.

I am very delighted with this results, Thijs Al said after the race. Last year I finished 3rd where the pressure was not on my shoulders. This years, I was one of the favourites, and with a second place I am very happy.

Next weekend the finals of the UCI World Cup will take place in Mt. St. Anne, Canada. For the Be One Team, Mickael Pascal, Oscar Saiz, Anneke Beerten and Annabella Stropparo will compete. Pascal has still opportunities to win the overall World Cup title, but Vouilloz and Minnaar have a gap. Stropparo is in 6th right know, but has chances for a 3rd place overall.
