The final of the world cup season was held in Fort William, Scotland. It is one of my favourite places to go to. It's an amazing place and the venue is awesome. A huge number of spectators came out to watch this weekend's racing. I was hoping to be recovered enough from last weekend's accident in Livigno. But unfortunately my ribs were still hurting bad all week long. On Friday I tried to do a few 4-cross practice runs, but I could not control the pain and I was unable to handle my bike the way I wanted to. I was really disappointed that I wasn't able to race. In the overall world cup ranking I ended up in a satisfying 2nd place.
Thanks to the hard work of the crew and riders, team Specialized walked away with the #1 spot in the overall world cup 4-Cross team ranking.
All in all I can look back on good season with 2 world cup wins, 7 podiums and a 2nd place overall in the World Cup standings.
