Saturday was a packed day of racing, Downhill in the morning and 4-cross in the evening. The crowd came out in there thousands cheering like crazy. Packing the downhill course from top to bottom. The course consisted of a lot of tight corners and pedaling sections. My run went well, with the only complication being the bright camera flashes in my face from the crowd. I finished 9th.
The local organizers spent a lot of time grooving the 4-cross track. It was fast and short ( 30 sec.) surrounded by eye catching flower gardens. I qualified with the second fastest time. In the final Jill and I came out of the gate side by side I lost my position having the outside line of the first corner. I tried to find a line past Jill rubbing my front tire on her rear tire several times, but could find no opportunity to get round on the fast circuit, finishing second.
Over and out,Anneke
