Bas de Bever (NED) starts his 9th year as a Downhill rider. Over the years Bas has become one of the best Downhill athletes in the World with a World Cup victory, several World Cup podiums and a bronze medal at the World Championships. Best results this weekend was a 5th place in the Mountain Cross. In the Downhill Bas got 9th, a crash in the second Dual run gave him no change for an overall top result.
Mickael Pascal (FRA) had a great season in 2001 with 2 World Cup victories (Durango and Leysin). His overall 3rd place in the World Cup rankings and a 2nd place on the UCI Downhill rankings are other highlights of the 2001 season. Mick got 15th in the Downhill and didn't make it through the finals in the Mountain Cross and Dual.
Michal Prokop (CZE) is in his first year for Be One. This young Czech talent is an athlete with a lot of skills in different disciplines. His main focus for 2002 will be the 4-Cross, the discipline that replaced the Dual. Next to that, Michal will also compete in the Biker-X races, BMX and Dirt Jump contests. Michal had a bad weekend, because of a crash in Friday's practise. Michal was out for the weekend and has to wait for the next event to show his talents.
