By winning several rounds in the European Championship series BMX this year, Michal Prokop (CZE) was one of the favourites for a title in the Elite Men’s 20” and 24”. BMX has various similarities with the 4X-discipline, this year introduced in the World Cup Mountainbike circuit to replace the Dual.

With a 3rd place in the Elite Men’s 24” final, Prokop adds another success to his 2002 resume, on which his 2nd place at the Mt. St. Anne World Cup 4X is the absolute highlight of the season so far. More riders in 4X have a BMX background and still use the BMX competition as preparation for the 4X World Cup series. Next stop will be the World Championships Mountainbike in Kaprun, Austria, from August 26 to September 1. Last year Prokop got 2nd in the Kaprun World Cup Dual.

Coming weekend our Cross Country riders will compete for the European Championship title in Zürich, Switzerland.
