The 4-cross track was the same as last year, this year the conditions were totally different though. It was fast and dry! My qualification run went not so smooth, I got to the second corner and before I knew it my front wheel washed out and I went face down into the rocky surface. I lost a lot of time with that crash and ended up last!@#?
Good thing all the girls qualified. Riding a good qualification is always important for your gate choice in racing. So be being last it means I was on the outside start gate all night.
On race-day I was still a bit stiff from my crash but my start was going well all night and I managed to get trough the first 3 rounds into the final. I knew the final was going to be hard from the outside gate especially with Jill, Jana and Fionn next to me in the final. My start was good, but I knew Jill and Jana would be having a better line going into the first corner. They were just in front of me going into the first corner when they took each other down! I was lucky not to crash with them but I lost a lot of speed. Fionn rode around the crash and took the win; she was riding well all night. I took 2nd, Jana 3rd and Jill 4th.
Men's racing was super exciting as well, in the final Joost Wichman made a move on Rodger Rinderknecht for the first place in the last corner and he took his first World Cup win ever!
We have 2 weekends off now before we travel to the Highlands of Schotland, Fort William.

What looked like was going to be a cold and wet weekend in Andorra turned out to be an nice and sunny weekend with some great racing. The 3rd World Cup of the season was held in the beautiful mountains of Vallnord, Andorra. Vallnord is a great place for skiing in the winter and in the summer you can ride the endless mountainbike trails.
