The European 4-cross championships were in Stollberg, Germany this year. It was a great venue and the 4-cross track was almost in the middle of the town centre!! The organization had put a lot of work into this event and it showed off. On Saturday the crowd that came to watch us battle for the European title was big and loud.
On Friday we had a couple of hours practice. The course was great, nice rhythms sections, berms, big jumps and flat turns.
Qualifying went well and I qualified 1st. My quarterfinal and the semi-final were good and I went on to the final without any problems. In the Final I had a good gate and I was able to go into the first turn first. For the rest of the run I knew I had to stay focused and ride my lines. Needless to say I was really stoked when I crossed the finish line and won the European title!!
It feels good to be back racing, and to be on the top of the podium.
