Krom stuur, noppenbanden en lekker van de gebaande paden? Hier kun je er over praten.

Hi alles!! I apologise first for writting in English, mijn nederlands pratten still niet goed.

I was wondering if someone can redirect me or send me a link to an off road or the now so called "gravel" routes (I´ve been doing gravel for 30 years, so 28 years before the word was invented, me and most of you here I am sure). Anyways, I bought a new hardtail, plan to take it to Spain, but in the months meanwhile, I would like to be able to test it here. I´m sure there are no hills, but I bet there are quite a few off-road routes. I´m specially interested on a route that may connect rotterdam with the Zoetemer parcour. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Happy Trails!!!!

Mijn mountainbike: Pilot

Hier staan wat off-road/gravelpaden op. Niet veel rond Rotterdam zie ik, maar het is een begin.

Between Rotterdam and Zoetermeer there are none, or you would want to ride on walking paths. You could of course take a detour to the Bergschenhoek trail, and then take the paths in the Lage Bergse Bos. But there is quite a big chance you get a ticket there.
There is one nice track along the Berkelse Zweth: https://goo.gl/maps/VtMVGNiDTF93Qjha9

But that's about it in this area. You could of course also go to Vlaardingen, which is a bit more gravelly than Zoetermeer.

As you can see at the gravelmap link in one of the post above there are plenty of gravel routes just south of Breda in the direction of Roosendaal. Breda is only 23 minutes by train from Rotterdam Centraal. Outside rush hours, including weekends and July and August you may take your gravelracer in the train for a day ticket of € 6.20 or so. Plus of course your own ticket costs. Go over this gravelroutes in the direction of Roosendaal or Bergen op Zoom and travel back by train (or ride back to Breda and take the train overthere).

The issue is that there are few gravel tracks in peat polders around Rotterdam and so you find them mostly as quays as the wonderful Berkelse Zweth. However, the surfaces are often either of tarmac or grass (no cycling permitted).
The sandy soils in Brabant have plenty of graveltracks, but may be sandy in dry weather.
