Freeriding doesn’t bother me, like “I’m not a
freerider I’m a so and so” Freeriding came from
snowboarding and I guess it was the first place
to really use it big to describe just back country
riding. To me freeriding is….it’s funny because
people always talk about this, people are always
bringing it up, the whole freeriding thing and I
don’t understand why people even give a shit,
to me it’s like if you’re not racing you’re freeriding,
you’re just going round and your freeriding.
Like picture this, I don’t think it’s about uphill/
downhill or whatever, I think it’s like Me Tinker
and Lopes meet up one day to go riding our bikes
and we get in a car and drive half way up a hill, we
can’t get the rest of the way because we can’t go,
we get out and ride the rest of the way up and ride
down, I mean, what did we do? Did we just go free-
riding? Downhill or cross country? We just went
freeriding and to me it doesn’t matter what you’re
on, I think you could freeride on a cross country bike
and I think freeriding is just riding without the
confinements of a race y’know? So to me it doesn’t
matter, that’s just what I do I ride a bike and I think
that everybody who rides a bike is a freerider, unless
you’re racing then you’re a racer.
Gotta love this guy!
